Results of the Rust Cup contest
The Rust Cup played a crucial role in Everscale's core development, helping the network transition to a Rust node, breaking the world record in terms of TPS, and, overall, refining the tech stack while establishing a strong foundation for network security and the validator community 🚀
However, due to global market changes such as the collapse of Terra and FTX and a chain reaction of bankruptcies, the payout of initial rewards became unfeasible without threatening the network's stability. As a result, the discussion process that followed became slow-paced and uncertain.
That's when the Everscale DeFi Alliance stepped in to ensure the network's economic sustainability and find the right decision with the community 🌱
